A mother is a woman who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take”.

At the age of three mines drove me to my first dance class...

I see dance and movement as a sacred art, a therapy for body and mind, it helps me to look inside myself, to scan every single part of my body. Movement helps me to focus, discipline, and love myself.

At the age of 19, I moved to London from the countryside of Italy.

This journey, which lasted almost 20 years, was my real school of life.

In the beginning, I worked in bars, I am not ashamed to say!

Hard work always pays off. I studied with world-renowned teachers and schools such as the London Contemporary Dance School, Danceworks, and The central ballet school.

Have you ever danced with your eyes closed?

“I am so grateful to all my teachers, these amazing people shaped my professional and spiritual self.”

-Melissa

As a dancer, I needed my body and mind to be in the best shape and the hectic life of London had made me allured by a healthy nutritional lifestyle.

Have you ever stopped to listen to what you are really hungry for?

This process, with time and academic studies as a holistic practitioner and complementary nutritionist, gave me a way to re-approach food in a healthier way.

I learned how to fuel my body and mind accordingly to my timetable, nutritional needs, budget, and energy requirements. But mostly I found my own way of receiving pure joy and nourishment by eating food. In fact, I learn how to nourish myself.

This academic learning and personal journey led me to work as a UK healthy eating consultant for one of the largest organic food companies in the UK and the USA.

After years of working in corporate, I missed being in tune with nature, so I left “Babylon” and I went travelling.

Upon my return, to help myself keep “naturally in tune” I bought a houseboat and moored in a natural reserve in East London.

My love for movement was still there as strong as ever! So I enrolled in a Pilates teacher training course and thought for over ten years in the best studios in London.

Yoga and Mindfulness practices were always there as my body and mind remedies. With time, I started to deepen my knowledge, and again curiosity; studying Yin & Meridian Yoga, Somatic Movement, Sound Healing, and more recently Mindfulness-Based Eating.

All these studies, practice, and life experiences made me the teacher and nutritional consultant I am today.”

The holistic way

As a lifelong student, and as a teacher, I worked and practised in many studios diving always more into my spirituality.

With time my holistic side started to blossom within my practice…
